April 10, 2008: Ah! A Good Night's Sleep!

I know I took a pretty round-about way to get there, but I really got a good night's sleep last night. I got home from my swim last night and the phone rang- it's the Red Cross, they need me to come in to donate platelets. Apparantly I'm a match to a Cancer patient and they need me in on Thursday. So Laura and I sat down and rearranged my workout schedule so I could make things work for today. I set up my bike for an early morning ride on the trainer, layed out my biking and running clothes, even filled my water bottles and set out a Cliff bar by the bike. Everything was ready to go. Or so I thought. I went to bed early, with every intention of getting up at 5:30 and starting my workout, so I would be done before work and could go to the Red Cross after. Early this morning I rolled over an looked at the alarm clock...6:20!!!!! How did that happen? Oops, forgot that Laura reset the alarm after I got up yesterday. Hey, I had good intentions. And I did get a good night's sleep out of the deal and did it feel good!
I just may "oversleep" again tomorrow. |
