She's short, half Polish, half American Indian. Pretty damn cute- if I remember her right.
You may have guessed- I'm pretty heavy into training at this point- just a hair more than a month before the BIG RACE. So, here's how the weekend went...
Friday- woke up at 5 and gathered all my stuff together for a team swim at 6. Straight from the swim to work. Home after work and I think I actually saw Laura for a few minutes before I went to bed early, because...
Saturday- up at 4:45 to get ready to meet a couple of teammates downtown at 5:30 (I know, I was a couple of minutes late). We headed out on our bikes on the Ironman course- I rode the stem to Verona and then back to Madison. They continued on from Verona to ride a couple of the Ironman loops. When I got back to Madison, I packed up the bike and headed out on a 15 mile run. From the run, off to Willow Island for the Madison Roots Festival, where I did a little more riding on the stationary bikes that powered the second stage. I got home from the Roots Festival a little after 11pm and went to bed, to get up early again.
Sunday- up again at 4:45. Again to get ready to meet a couple of teammates downtown at 5:30 (this time I almost made it on time). We headed out on our bikes on the Ironman course- this time they just did the stem and came back to run 15 miles, while I continued on for the rest of the course, picking up my Dad for the last 25 miles. Dad's no longer allowed to have GU- every time he took one, he got a burst of energy and kicked my butt for a while. Home after the long ride and I was ready for a nap. A nice long nap.
Has anybody seen my wife? She's short...
(BTW- if you see her, please don't tell her that next weekend is even worse)
