Cabin fever can manifest itself in many ways. Some people get depressed, some people sleep a lot,. some get out of town and others , like my partner Tim, get overly productive. Not that I am complaining.
I love Mad Magazine and started reading it as a kid, I never missed an issue, except for when I was in college because the campus bookstore didn't sell them. Sometime in the late 80's, I started saving them, and scrounged around used bookstores and antique malls for old copies. I even traded 2 cartons of old Playboy's with my friend Steve for a carton of Mad's mostly from the 60's. I think I got the better deal.
Anyway, back to cabin fever.
Yesterday, Tim got way productive and put my collection in chronological order and placed them in carboard holders.
The earliest is dated 1959 and the most recent, probably last year. It's not quite the same as it once was ( what is?) but a cover story still will still grab my attention and probably always will. Check this out!
July 31, 2008 The last time you were carded So the governor of Washington State, a 61 year old woman, just laughed it off when she forgot her ID and they wouldn't let her into a bar. Reminds me of the days when I used to get carded regularly..
