Last night's Oscars were decent. I thought Jon Stewart did a solid job as host and most of the acceptance speeches were good. However, the best part of the night may have been when Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova won Oscars for "Best Original Song".
Glen Hansard was humble and overwhelmed. Marketa didn't get a chance to speak, but then after the commercial break Jon Stewart let her come back on stage. She didn't disappoint. Check it out:

July 23, 2008 : Under the "cover"
Last week The New Yorker magazine took heat for a cover, depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as radical militant muslems, giving each other the " terrorist fist pump". The magazine says it was satire, drawing on the public's misconception of who the Obama's really are.
