We finally got the word today--Johnny Depp is coming to Wisconsin to make a movie! I think I'm just the person to give him a tour...
Here are some stops on our whirlwind itinerary:
Ella's Deli. There's a child-like wonder about him that makes me think he would appreciate all the kitschy stuff there. Plus it's a little like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
El Dorado Grill on Willy Street. When he was on Oprah's show a year or so ago, he made her do a shot of tequila with him (no chaser). They have a good selection of upscale tequilas there.
Capone's Bar Next Door (next to Jingles at the Coliseum). This could help him get ready for the John Dillinger movie, as it was built by a Chicago gang of bootleggers back in the 20's. At one time it had a tunnel connecting to Lake Monona for a quick getaway, and the entrance to the tunnel is still there.
Goodwill. By the time summer rolls around, the new Goodwill Boutique should be open on State Street. I'm sure he'll find an impressive evening gown or bauble for his girlfriend, the beautiful French actress, Vanessa Paradis.
A Betty Lou Cruise. I'm pretty sure going for a little leisure tour on Lake Monona will be just the thing to get him to give me a little bit of Jack Sparrow love.
