Feb. 4, 2008: I'm a "homer," but...

This is how much of a "homer" I am...If my team (the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers) isn't in it, or if it doesn't affect my team, I ain't watching.  And I don't care.

As we all know by now, my team wasn't in it, so yesterday during the big game (btw- I'm sure that someday that big football organization is going to copywrite the words "big game" and I won't be allowed to say that either- hell, they'll probably copywrite "football") I went to the health club and ran on the treadmill.  Now, I'll admit even though I don't care, while I was running and the game was on the TV in front of me, I started to care.  I started cheering for New York.  I started cheering against New England.  I started doing this to a point where I'd be running along and something good would happen & I would throw my fist in the air and let out a little yell.

So, as I watched the game and it seemed to be going the way I wanted it to go, I started thinking about Green Bay.  Here's my thought...would you have rather seen Green Bay in the game, if you knew they were going to lose?  Or would you rather see New York in the game ending New England's perfect season?  Now, we'll never know if Green Bay would have won or lost, but if that was the choice - Green Bay goes but loses or New York goes but ends New England's perfect seasong, which would you choose?
