Just a short one today. I got up early the morning and headed to the health club. After my workout and shower, I noticed on the way out that the woman at the front desk was not just checking people in as she usually does, but she was (in her words) "playing mom" too. As people left the club she made sure we were all bundled up so we wouldn't catch a cold. Now I know you don't actually catch a cold from being in the cold. I still think it was pretty cool that she was that concerned about everyone that she wouldn't let us leave without our jackets zipped up and hats and gloves on. She said one guy tried to leave in a pair of shorts - she sent him back to the locker room to change.
July 31, 2008 The last time you were carded So the governor of Washington State, a 61 year old woman, just laughed it off when she forgot her ID and they wouldn't let her into a bar. Reminds me of the days when I used to get carded regularly..
