Mar. 25, 2008: Sakes alive! David Starsky is 65!

On the birthday list today: Paul Michael Glaser, the original Starsky on the old TV show, is 65 today. That can only mean one thing...actually two things...he's old, and so am I.
When I was in junior high, I'd race home from C.C.D. (not sure what the letters stood for, but basically Catholic catechism), so I could get home in time to watch Starsky and Hutch. I lived right across the street from the church, so if I sprinted, I would be home in time to watch the opening credits.
Now some girls may have had it bad for David Soul, the blonde guy on the show, but Starsky was my guy. His eyes had more of a twinkle. He had more of a wild streak. And his car was way cooler than the hunk of junk Hutch drove.
Not to mention the fact that David Soul sang that sappy, syrupy, World's Worst I-pod song, "Don't Give Up On Us, Baby." (Can you still hum a little of it? Sorry if it gets stuck in your head.)
