Bio: my mom said the only time i was quiet was the nine months she was pregnant with me and even then she knew i would be a little rambunctious (i guess, because i was so excited to come out). i was born in englewood, new jersey, but spent my entire childhood across the river running through the streets of new york city. when i was growing up at home, i remember sleeping until noon every day and my mom yelling at me “that only musicians sleep all day”. so, since i loved to sleep, i decided then and there that i would be a musician.
i learned how to play the piano when i was a child, but was forced to learn to play the guitar when i went away to college at the university of wisconsin, because i couldn't fit a piano into my dorm room. i've since then traveled around this great country playing shows for anyone who would listen. i have found playing live for people to be my true love in life. there is something explosive that happens on stage that can't be put on an album.
speaking of albums, the songs on my first album, which is called 'best days', are about my life and more specifically my experiences with love. they are nostalgic clips and memories of things that i, my friends and my family have experienced over the years. the songs are also about discovery. i have found that adults expect us to know what we want to do with our lives, like we have everything planned out and should stay on this straight line, but i find that living in the moment and following your heart is the only path to follow.
