July 15, 2008: I'm going out to smoke my pipe Back in the misty past, when I was a kid, we used to have go to outside to play. We didn't need any grown-ups to organize us or supervise, and somehow we managed to figure out a variety of ways to have fun and not kill ourselves. We played all the usual games, like Kick the Can and Wiffleball, but the game "I'm Going Out to Smoke My Pipe" had to be the most convoluted diversion ever.

Whether he was laughing uncontrollably at Tim Conway, or annoying Fred and Barney as the Great Gazoo..he's provided hours of entertainment to me and the rest of the world. I just hope his passing wasn't somehow my fault...
